While the engine operates, the voltage regulator distributes voltage from the alternator to the battery to keep it charged. The battery won’t have enough voltage if the voltage regulator malfunctions. Your battery will thus deplete faster than it should. The alternator is a crucial component to examine if your battery is quickly depleting. Test the output with a multimeter to determine whether the alternator is faulty and replace it with a new one if it is damaged.
Examine the spark plug for wear or damage. If an electrode is scorched or broken, the porcelain insulator is fractured, or there is carbon buildup at the electrode, replace it immediately. Use a spark plug tester to see if you can determine if the spark plug is faulty. Make sure the carburetor isn’t blocked. If so, use a carburetor cleaner to clean it. Consider replacing or repairing the complete carburetor if this step isn’t successful.
