Lead generation is the bread and butter that keeps most businesses chugging along. Developing an integrated marketing plan that seamlessly connects with consumers, introduces them to your product or service, and engages with them to ultimately result in a lead generation is the constant strategy that business owners strive for to increase revenue and make their business successful.
Accomplishing quality lead generation is more difficult now than ever before, as consumers are so immersed in marketing exhibits and displays that they just tune them out. The trick to great lead generation is thinking outside of the box and really catching the attention of potential customers. To get your inspiration brewing, we’ve put together a few creative ways to increase your lead generation.
- Create engaging marketing videos.
Two out of every three consumers absorb information best when they are exposed to it visually. This means that when you want to get an idea about your offerings across to potential customers, the best way to do it through a video. We’re not talking about a corny infomercial that cheapens your credibility. Create a video that is entertaining and engaging, and gives your product a brand that customers want to buy into.
Another thing that video marketing does for your business is improving the search engine optimization (SEO) of your website. Having a video on your landing increases the likelihood of Google ranking your website on the first page of results by 52 times.
- Make your call to action priority numero uno.
You want to make it extremely easy for customers to contact you. Your call to action (the way your customers connect with you, through your “Buy Now” or “Contact Us” button…or take the next step to becoming your customer) needs to be “above the fold.” The term “above the fold” means that it should be obvious without having to touch the scroll bar.
To make sure your call to action is extremely visible, try looking at your page while squinting (or maybe after a few drinks). Even with your vision obstructed, the call to action should be the most obvious element of your page. Studies show that having an obvious call to action on your page increases your lead generation by six times!
- K.I.S.S. — Keep it simple stupid.
We know you have about a thousand and fifty great things to convey to your visitors as soon as you get their attention. However, do yourself a favor and limit yourself to just a single call to action per page. The purpose of each page should convey a single goal. Studies show that when businesses who cut their call to action from multiple per page to a single one, the number of leads generated increase by 25%.
- Optimize yourself.
We touched on this point in our first point. Focusing on search engine optimization is one of the least expensive and most effective ways to improve your lead generation. Over 90% of online experiences begin with a search engine. Of these 90% of users, 70% will only visit links on the first page of results, and at that, only organic ones; if you pay Google to advertise your page, your target audience won’t give you the time of day. The trick is to optimize your page, so that the Google algorithm thinks there is something about it that is worth suggesting to it’s online users.
So how do you do this? A few tips for optimizing your SEO to improve your lead generation include:
- Create great content that people want to read.
- Get your website listed on other sites. When other pages reference your page, Google thinks there must be something worth recommending.
- Get involved on social media. Google loves active social media users. Especially when the content you put out there is great and your followers share it.
